A Reality Show About a Non-Reality Show: Meet the Queens of Drama

We’ve all seen our share of soap operas, whether as avid viewers or on the occasional trip to the medical clinic waiting rooms, which eerily always seem to be showing one soap or another. It can be difficult to come up with new ideas for a type of show which has been around for so long, but a fresh idea appears to have been discovered in the show Queens of Drama. This show is a reality series, following the activities of a group of former soap actors who are working to create a new show of their own, and there is plenty of drama along the path of their venture.

This show features many former soap opera stars, including actress Crystal Hunt, known for her roles in both Guiding Light, and One Life to Live. The Bio on her photography site says Crystal Hunt was born in 1985 and is from Clearwater, Florida. She began her acting career with cheery, positive commercials, including a commercial with Disney, and went on to begin her soap acting with her character Lizzie Spaulding in Guiding Light in the year 2003. She was recognized with a nomination for a Daytime Emmy award for her role as Lizzie, and appeared in a few movies before joining the cast of One Life to Live in 2009, as character Stacy Morasco. After her time with One Life to Live, Hunt costarred in the thrilling NYC Underground in 2013 as well as in the inspiring family film 23 Blast in 2014, and took a role in the movie Magic Mike XXL in 2015.

Besides acting, Hunt has also pursued business ownership, with her high-end pet store in Florida, and production, introducing the film “Talbot County” in 2014 as an executive producer. Her pet boutique, My Pets Dream, has been successful in Clearwater, Florida, with its natural, holistic dog food and treats, and a friendly staff who treat their furry clients with the utmost care. The pet boutique stocks pet foods and pet supplies, and has specialty pet services like grooming. Talbot County is a horror movie set in the 1980’s that explores the more gruesome side of small-town legends.

In Queens of Drama, Hunt returns to her soap opera experience in working with the group to create a new television drama, and finds real drama among her co-creators in this series, making this reality show an entertaining new venture into soap opera life.  To see a side of Crystal Hunt from her soap opera days, check out YouTube.
